CapiTasks is a free to-do app for Windows, Android and the browser, with tasks inside tasks, eight colours, desktop sticky notes and sharing with a link. Here are answers to the most common questions.

What is CapiTasks?

CapiTasks is a free to-do app. Every task has a checkbox, an optional due date, a note and one of eight colours, and it can contain other tasks: groceries with bread inside, a house move with boxes inside. It runs on Windows, on Android and in the browser, and keeps your tasks in sync across devices.

Is CapiTasks free? Does it have ads?

It is free and has no ads. There is no tracking: your data is used only to sync and share your tasks.

Do I need an account to use CapiTasks?

No. The app works without an account: what you write stays on your device. You don't need one to link other devices or to share a task either. If you want an account you can sign in with Google, Microsoft, or email and password, and you can delete it from within the app.

How do I share a task with someone?

Choose “Share link” on the task and send it to anyone, even on WhatsApp. Neither you nor the person who receives it needs an account to open it. They can tick items off and add new ones; the task stays yours and you can remove their access at any time.

How do I get the same tasks on my computer and my phone?

Link the new device by scanning a QR code (or typing a code). From then on your tasks sync on their own between Windows, Android and the browser.

What are desktop sticky notes on Windows?

You can pin a task to the desktop: it becomes a sticky note that sits above the icons and below your windows, and you tick items off without opening the app. As long as there is a sticky note, CapiTasks reopens by itself when you sign in to Windows and shows only those.

How does work mode work?

It is a Pomodoro-style timer: 25 minutes on one thing only, a 5-minute break, and a long break after every four blocks. You start it from the headphones icon on a task page and, on Windows, it lives in a small always-on-top note with the timer.

How do reminders work?

Give a task a due date (with or without a time) and CapiTasks reminds you with a notification on your device, such as a Windows notification.

How do I delete my data?

You can delete your account and the data linked to it from within the app. The steps are also at https://capitasks.app/elimina-account/ and the privacy policy is at https://capitasks.app/privacy/.

Which languages does it support?
